Responding To Facebook Enquiries

What to say

Some people on Facebook don’t use their real phone number so at times you might get a negative response. When you call the best approach is as follows;

“Hi, Can I speak to (their name)?” If they respond asking who you are explain you are from G4 Guitar and received an inquiry via Facebook. In some cases they will say you have the wrong number or even hang up on you. In this case revert to the text and email messages below but alter them to say that the number you called appears to be a wrong number. If they respond to your question with “Yes this is (name) speaking) ask the following.

“Did you recently make an inquiry on Facebook about guitar lessons?” If they say no apologise and say that you must have the wrong number. If they respond with “Yes” following the normal sales script.

No response

We find around 50% of Facebook inquiries do not respond. Not entirely sure why but its normal for Facebook inquiries. The best thing to do when you don’t get a response is to send them a text message followed by an email. Use the following messages.

Text message“Hi (their name), My name is (your name) from G4 Guitar. I recently received an inquiry regarding guitar lessons on Facebook and tried to contact you by phone but was unable to reach you. I will try and call you again soon but could you tell me a convenient time to call? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.”

Email message (send a few hours later allowing them time to respond to your text message)
“Hi (their name), My name is (your name) from G4 Guitar. I recently received an inquiry regarding guitar lessons on Facebook and tried to contact you by phone on the phone number (their number) but was unable to reach you. I will try and call you again soon but could you tell me a convenient time to call? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.”
If you don’t hear back after 24 hours give them one more phone call and then leave it at that.
